Abstract

The job readiness of Vocational High School graduates remains a serious problem, particularly in non-technical aspects such as curriculum vitae writing, job interview skills, and soft skills mastery. This condition is also experienced by students of Nurul Huda Baros Vocational School, who despite possessing technical skills in their field of expertise, are not yet ready to face the job selection process. This Community Service activity aims to improve the job readiness of Nurul Huda Baros Vocational School students by strengthening their capacity and competency in curriculum vitae writing, job interview training, and developing soft skills relevant to the needs of the workforce. The method used is participatory training and mentoring with the stages of needs analysis, training, and job interview simulations. Evaluation activities are carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure changes in students' job readiness levels. The results of the activity showed an increase in all aspects assessed, especially understanding of curriculum vitae writing, job interview techniques, self-confidence, communication skills, and understanding of soft skills. The increase in post-test scores compared to the pre-test indicates that the training and simulation provided are effective in improving students' job readiness. Thus, this activity has proven effective in bridging the gap between vocational high school students' competencies and the demands of the workplace, contributing to the sustainable improvement of graduates' competitiveness.
